How to Prepare for 1099’s at Yearend
Join us Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 11:30 AM CST.
Every year we get questions about 1099’s: Who should receive them? How do I get a list? How do I know if I have the Federal Tax ID numbers? What forms to I need? And More!! There is a deadline to have these in the mail to your vendors, and a deadline to file the 1096 (summary page) with copies, so it’s important to plan ahead.
We’re not your CPA and we recommend you check with them. However, we do this each year and have quite a few things we can share so you can be ready. In this webinar, we will cover:
– The general guidelines regarding who should receive a 1099
– How the W-9 form plays into this
– The Sage 100 Contractor 1099 Types and where these are flagged
– How to pull a report to see the Vendor payments, who may need a 1099, and what information might be missing
– The general deadlines to send the 1099’s to the vendors, and to file the 1096 and Federal/State copies
– The latest info we have regarding what can be printed to plain paper, perforated paper, and what needs the ‘red’ forms
We’ll have a little time for Q&A at the end. Attendance is free for Syscon clients and $40 for our guests. We look forward to having you join us for this 30-minute webinar on Wednesday January 8th at 11:30 am Central time!

How would you like this: a team member uses the company credit card, then they immediately get a text asking them to send the receipt with a description, just by responding to the text message! Sound too good? You might want to join us on for our co-hosted webinar with David Stewart. Co-Founder @ Vendrix.
Vendrix is a corporate credit card built for the Construction industry, and they now have a full integration with Sage 100 Contractor! Not only does this cut out the need to manually track expenses, it makes it easy for them to send what you need right away, ready with your GL accounts, jobs, cost codes, vendors, and more.
Sooo many of our clients are looking for ways to cut down on the amount of time and aggravation of credit card processing. This could be the magic sauce. We look forward to having you join us for this 45-minute webinar on Thursday October 24th at 11:00 am Central time!

AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Your Business – Ready or Not
Join us Thursday September 12th at 11:00 am Central time.
Ready or not, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here. AI isn’t new, but with the release of Copilot in February 2024, it is now accessible to everyone in a very practical way. For years, AI has been part of our programmers’ lives, saving tons of time. For the rest of us, Machine Learning (ML) and AI are part of many of the tools we’ve learned to rely on in our businesses and personal life.
Maybe you plan to ignore it – you won’t be able to. Maybe you want to re-tool everything and use it everywhere – not realistic and not appropriate. Let’s have a practical discussion about AI and our businesses. Here are a few highlights of what we’ll cover:

If you’re in Construction, you’ve probably heard people talking about BIM as much as AI, so let’s start with our first question: What does BIM stand for? Building Information Modeling. I’ll bet you have a few more questions and we’d like to get you some answers!

Here’s what we’ll cover:
– An introduction to BIM: Understand the core concepts and benefits
– Benefits and Advantages: Learn how BIM is being used in the collaboration phase, to reduce risk, and to optimize project management
– BIM Tools and Technologies: We’ll share some popular BIM software and some emerging transformations in the industry, as well
– Real-World Case Studies: Santex is ready to share some success stories along with some lessons learned during their BIM Implementations worldwide
– Future Trends: We’ll share some of the trends Santex is seeing, including digital twins and sustainability

Each year (and sometimes more than once a year), unions publish new rate and benefit sheets with specific start dates. There is a very methodical process in Sage 100 Contractor that allows you to get all the reports you need for the old rates, get the new rates updated in one place, then push to the employee default hourly rate, and make sure the next reports are right for the union – without over paying for a few days of overlap!
AND, we’ll review how Job Paygroups work. You can actually indicate which Paygroups are to be used on a specific job. This could save you a lot of time!
Join Catherine Wendt for a 45-minute review of this process, including tips and tricks. Registration is required – seats are limited.
If you have payroll with union employees or you use paygroups for prevailing wage jobs through Sage 100 Contractor, you need this webinar!
Free for Syscon clients and a $25 fee for guests. After approved, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
