A client received several email requests to change bank routing info – and they were fraudulent!
We can’t emphasize enough – do not accept any electronic, fax, or mailed requests for bank changes; not for Vendors, Clients, or Employees. All financial changes MUST be a phone call that you initiate with a contact person you know.
