Hosting Clients can log in from anywhere with an internet connection. Please remind your staff to Log Off of the program after each session. This allows all the files to close correctly, reducing data corruption. It also releases licenses which may be needed by other users, or by the Supervisor for Exclusive Access to close the Posting Period or other Supervisor tasks.

Private Server

Hosting Clients can log in from anywhere with an internet connection. Please remind your staff to Log Off their remote session, rather than clicking the red X to close the window. The ‘X’ only closes the window; it does not close programs, Save work created during the session, or release licenses. If you have software with specific license guidelines, it is important to Log Off the program and release the license, save files, and protect the data.

Updated Anti-virus Service

With the latest release of our monthly anti-virus service, the techs are very excited to see the increase in viruses being ‘caught’ and cleaned for our own equipment, as well as our clients.

One of the new features is the option to select a level of virus scanning. Most clients prefer the Passive offering, although some have requested Normal or even Aggressive. With each level comes a trade; some non-virus files may be quarantined or identified as malware, but in fact are not.

The level of aggressive scanning has to be weighed by the use of the computer, the users, and the type of work performed. We would be happy to discuss the options in more detail. Just give us a call!
