Sage ended support of Sage 100 Contractor version 19 back in December 2017. We’ve left this version in our multi-tenant environment to give all our clients time to migrate the v19 datasets (prior years) over to version 20.
As of early October 2018, Sage has released version 21 and announced that all 2019 tax updates and all 2018 W-2 forms (and similar) will only be available in version 21 (as they do every year).
We’ve also noticed that once you go to version 21, you will no longer be able to launch version 19 (the License server is not backwards compatible). This means you will not be able to prep that dataset to be migrated, because you won’t be able to open v19 datasets.
We’re taking down S100C v19 from our multi-tenant hosted environment as of November 1st.
So, if you have not migrated all the version 19 datasets (prior years) to version 20, now’s the time to get it done. Version 19 software will be available through October 31st, then it will be taken down from the environment. If you need assistance with the migrations, our Consulting group can help you, so please call right away so you can meet this deadline.
Bottom line? S100C v19 will not launch once we install version 21; version 21 is required for 2018 yearend and 2019 tax tables; v19 is coming down on November 1st.
Any questions, please give us a call right away! Thanks – CMW
